It sounds profound, yet it is profoundly wrong. Very often something you can't see (particularly where it concerns yourself) is plain as the nose on your face to someone else. That's why we use counsellors and analysts.
@Immo - Thanks for the comment! However, if you read up Dharmakirti (by following the link) you will find that he is one of the founders of Indian philosophical logic and hence should not be too quickly dismissed. When I reread the statement, and the example you gave, I found no incompatibilities, however your hypothesis seems a little undermined?
